Dean has been taking art classes since he was ten years old. Decades later with experience in pencil, watercolour, and acrylics, he showed some of his work to friends who talked him into sharing some more.

"Teri's Tattoo Idea"
Pencil and ink on paper. Teri Jacobs was looking for: Poe's Raven but not sitting, and not really a detailed bird but bird-like. Filigree and tiny detail that looks like jewelry but isn't jewelry, with a touch of macabre. This was a fantastic challenge for me.

We chatted some more, and I gave it another try (see above). Our scanner added grey around the edges of the page, which can be cleaned up. The original is clean.
